Local Highlights - Spring/Summer

Spring and Summer on Exmoor is the busiest time of the year - it is the time when the local shows all take place - from the local village flower shows and gymkhanas to the Dunster Country Fair (in July) and the

Dunster Show (in August); there are also many festivals around the area - from crafts fairs, locally-produced food exhibitions and Church or village flower and music festivals.

The wild Exmoor pony herds can be seen with the foals at foot and the

magnificent wild Red Deer are often spotted with their calves.

There are many events organised locally throughout the Spring and Summer - so much to choose from! Details can be accessed from the local paper or from one of the Tourist Information Centres.

There is always something to do - from peaceful walks, drives and coach trips, to the Exmoor Safari Landrover Tours or visits to the many attractions the locality has to offer; most visitors tell us they run out of time to experience all they want to see and do! That is why, once discovered, Exmoor and it's own special charm attracts visitors to return again and again!
