Dogs & Horses Welcome!

Why not bring your dog or horse on holiday with you!? We are both dog and horse "friendly" and will do all we can to make your break specal for the whole "family":

DOGS: The owner is fully approved by the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and is in the early stages of building a permanent dog agility course for both residents and visitors alike to enjoy - great fun! It is quite possible to bring more than one dog, so don't hesitate to ask if you are a multi-canine owning family. The dogs can use one of our kennels, sleep in the room with you, or stay in your own car - the choice is yours. We provide a doggie welcome pack, plus throws for your dog to sleep on. We also have a supply of temporary i/d discs to clip onto your dog's collar, so that if he should stray, the finder has a telephone number to contact in this area. There is a fully-enclosed field directly behind the house for those morning and night-time outdoor "visits".

HORSES: Stabling and grazing is available with a choice of standard loose boxes (10ft x 12ft) or American Barn style boxes - lovely and light and airy. The grazing is well-fenced and both the paddocks and the stables have automatic waterers - so no need to spend your hard-earned break filling water buckets! Hay, straw and shavings can be supplied at cost and mucking out services can be provided if you really do want to make the most of your holiday. If you are happy to undertake the work yourself then you are welcome to borrow our mucking out tools etc. to save you having to bring it all.

The owner has a lifetime of experience of riding and dog-walking in the locality so can advise you on the best routes to take to see the very loveliest of our delightful scenery. Maps or easy-to-follow route instructions can be provided to assist you, and if a whole day out is what you had in mind, then a packed lunch can also be available.

We have a particularly good relationship with the Farrier and the Vet (both conventional and homeopathic) who will all do their best to assist if things don't go quite according to plan.

We will do all we can to make your stay as enjoyable as possible, be you human, canine or equine, so do please feel free to enquire for all your requirements.
