About us
We are a family run farm and the animal residents include sheep, Moira the pig, the goats Flora and Marge, chickens, geese, ducks, cats, dogs and horses including Mouse, the little grey pony.
It is not a large farm but it offers all the facilities for a peaceful stay with everything you could need to make your stay only a short drive away.
Exmoor people pride themselves on the friendly welcome they offer and Burnells Gardens is no exception. The owner has a lifetime of intimate knowledge of the locality to draw on and can give you all the information you could need to make your stay just perfect.
The facilities include off-road parking, access to the farm and river walk, use of a chiminea for barbecues either in the garden or by the river (picnic bench provided), seating areas by the river, fishing for trout in the river, stabling and grazing for your horses and we cater for dogs. Smoking is permitted in the house and on the farm but not in the farm buildings.
Exmoor Safari trips, riding lessons or trekking can be arranged, as can bowling "roll ups" - in fact, all you need to do is contact us with your requirements and we will advise or make bookings for you.
Among the many compliments our visitors have paid us are
"What a very special place", "We could not have been made
more welcome", "What a wonderful place to stay" and "You could not have done more for us - thank you!"
