Burnells Gardens is a small family run farm situated in the beautiful Aville Valley between the historic village of Dunster and the traditional Exmoor village of Timberscombe.
It is a perfect base for your stay on Exmoor with the wild moorland and valleys only a short drive away - as is the town of Minehead and it's beaches and the village of Dunster - packed with history and interest. Minehead and Dunster offer numerous attractions from shopping, golf, the steam railway etc. and horse-riding and walking will allow you to experience the tranquility of this lovely area at first-hand
The farm itself is river fronted - we can supply a Chiminea for your own use in the farm's mature gardens or a gas bbq down on the banks of the river where you may even glimpse the resident otters or kingfishers as you dine. You are free to roam the farm and meet Moira the pig, Flora and Marge the Goats or the other animal friends that make up the character of Burnells Gardens! You may even meet the hen who laid the egg you have for your breakfast!
Well-behaved dogs are welcome and you can even bring your horse on holiday with you by prior arrangement. Stabling and grazing can easily be arranged.
Exmoor's famous red deer are regular visitors to the farm and can frequently be seen by day sunning themselves on the hill behind the farmhouse.
This is tranquility at its best - and the local pubs and restaurants provide all you could want to make your stay complete - THIS IS EXMOOR AT ITS BEST!!
